The Smarter Scrubber Project took 4 years to complete and in the process to make the product, we had 3 main goals:
- Safety - We wanted to eliminate dangerous wire bristles that can fall off, be eaten, and cause medical emergencies.
- Quality - Our goal was to make a very high quality, durable, and useful grill scrubber that would last for years. The Smarter Scrubber is dishwasher safe.
- Made affordably in USA - This was probably our biggest challenge... we made the Smarter Scrubber right here in the USA!
We teamed up with Destin from Smarter Every Day on YouTube who is an incredible engineer with a passion for American manufacturing.
In order to make the Smarter Scrubber safe, we designed the scrubbing surface using food safe welded stainless steel chainmail backed by food grade silicone.
We tested many different varieties of chain mail and figured out that welded stainless steel chain mail was the winner because it is incredibly strong and will not break even when we tried to break it!
Not only is the Smarter Scrubber safe and durable, but it functions great and is as good of a grill cleaner as you will find!
