Rated for riders up to 450 pounds, or for those who just want a solid, reliable ride, these value packed bikes are the right choice. The Urban Commuters feature the most durable wheels in our industry not found on any other bicycle brand. Exclusive Worksman Alloy Rims with 11g Stainless steel spokes are just the start. Thicker than normal 1/2 x 3/16"" chains and 3/16"" front sprocket account for a stronger drive system than conventional bikes. The Urban Commuter features a front drum brake (also a Worksman exclusive) that works well for smooth stops in wet or dry conditions and a rear 3 Speed Coaster (foot) Brake for sure stopping power. An easy to use gear shifter sits atop the upright super ergonomic handlebars with extra cushioned hand grips . The classic frames are fully lugged , just as they have been for 100+ years! But that is not all. These frames are made using a heavier gauge steel tubing than is used on ordinary bikes. These bikes are incredibly solid and give you the feel and confidence that one can only get when riding such a classic vehicle. To prevent flats, these durable rides include Exclusive WTC Kevlar Belted tires and Puncture resistant tubes . A precision sealed crank set for even greater durability and smoother pedaling is standard on these beauties. All new Black Poly-carbonate Resin fenders & Chain guard (no rust, no dings) and a thickly padded double coiled saddle add to the convenience and comfort.
