First Year of Issue Lincoln Memorial Penny and Susan B. Anthony Dollar

This first year of issue genuine United States coin set includes a Lincoln Memorial Penny and a Susan B. Anthony dollar. The Lincoln Memorial Cent was first issued in 1959. The reverse was designed by Frank Gasparro and celebrates the 150th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth. The 1959 Lincoln penny is composed of .950 copper and .50 tin and zinc. The Susan B. Anthony Dollar was first issued in 1979 and was designed by Gasparro and honors Anthony's work in women's rights. The 1979 Susan B. Anthony Dollar was the first time a women other than a lady liberty model or mythical figure appeared on a circulating United States coin. The two coin first year of issue set is encased in a protective acrylic case. A Certificate of Authenticity is printed on the coin card.
